So .. a while ago I thought about all those league of legends champions that I like to play but don't really dig their splash art. So I decided to come up with new versions of those champions just for the kicks ...

.. and started with my favourite support. For her I used as inspiration those female angels from Spawn. So yeah, I wasn't really planning on making a perfectly "viable" armor, but more of an ornamented really awesome thing. Also going to use the whole "sun" thing in the details of her armor, effects and stuff ..

If this one goes as intended, I might go and make one for Syndra, Ahri, etc .. =p

if you have no idea what LoL is, this is just a kickass woman with a "not-so-practical-which-doesn't-cover-a-thing" armor.

And yes ... this is how I setup the base of my drawings.

I do not want to be condescending or negative, especially to an artist of your caliber, but please post unfinished things like these in your Scrapbook and link it from there once you get the drawing finished and post _that_ as a deviation. I watch many people (we all do) and having my deviantWATCH messages getting inundated by things like this is an unpleasant experience. Please help in reducing the clutter on this website. Thank you.

I know a lot of people who like to see the step by step progress (I know I do), and several of them don't have the scrapbook marked to watch.

I'm not offended (or mean to be offensive), but you can unwatch people as well. Considering I post ONE new thing in several months, I'm certainly not the one flooding your inbox. Watching me is your choice, this is the kind of thing I'm willing to post here, because I can simply update this post with a new stage of the drawing.

If one drawing every X months is too much for you, you can simply hit unwatch .... because trust me, I'm not going to change how I post things because you didn't like it =)

Ouch. I think I came across exactly like I didn't mean to. Sorry, and of course it is your page and your wish. I apologize for intruding, just...I watch many people who do the same thing with *far* more frequency than you. And they do not even have something meaningful to share (your ultimate vision is visible in this deviation). So I just wanted you to consider the scrapbook as an option (after all, it is meant for that). But again, your page your choice.

P.S - I wouldn't _dream_ of unwatching you. I love your game-related art too much for that. Your _Death Knight_? Priceless!

how do you manage to get the body to be so realistic?

pepperwolf.deviantart.com/art/… those are the brushes I use for most of my drawings, with some examples of what they do. The blender I did is something like this:

get the yellow section, there will be 6 brushes. You can pick either the 1st or the last one for that (it works with other brushes as well).

get the smudge tool, select one of those  brushes
- mode: normal
- strength: 50%
unmark "sample all layers" and "finger painting"

and there you go.

You can use another "grainy" brushes as well, because they already give some sort of "skin like" feel.

Then you just need to learn how to blend them .. if you have a tablet, you can simply make 2 circles of different colors, start with a very soft pressure, and just go "blending" them until you are confortable with the brush.

The technique is pretty much that. And no, I didn't invent that =p
